About Me
Kyle Booth – BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy/ MSc Sport & Exercise Medicine
About Me: Graduated with a First Class Honours degree in 2007, and then went on to complete an MSc in Sport & Exercise Medicine from the University of London.
Experience: I have spent the last seven years working with arguably one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic medal winning sports – the Great British Rowing Team’s High Performance Programme. My role as the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, (2014-2019) of the Young Seniors, was to develop the next generation of Great British Rowing athletes aspiring for selection in an Olympic class boat at the Rio & Tokyo Olympic Games, whilst also supporting senior athletes on some pre-Olympic training camps. During this period I was privileged to work with some very talented athletes, coaches and practitioners from varying disciplines.
Currently: In 2017 I became one of a handful of Advanced Physiotherapists in the country working in NHS Accident and Emergency, treating a range of traumatic injuries & minor illness’. This year has been particularly challenging with the added pressure of triaging Covid-19 patients arriving at the front door of A&E. I continue to support a number of high performance sports teams, Imperial University scholar Athletes, as well as contract support for the GB Rowing Team.
I have also embarked on the GP led “In the Deep End” programme looking at frailty in the elderly, specifically with regards to health inequality. My “In the Deep End” project will be aimed at providing information on appropriate exercises for the patient deemed as frail, with signposting to organisations that provide social and physical interaction.
Organisations that I have worked with: GB Rowing Team, WWE (Wrestling) including TV filming. Imperial College London, University of London BC, US sevens rugby team, Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club.
My combination of clinical skills, knowledge, and experience gained in Front Line Emergency Care and High Performance Sport, gives me a unique position in the management of my clients.
In my spare time you can find me Rowing and Trail Running. Having summited Aconcagua, a 7000m peak in South America, I’m now looking for my next challenge.
